If you are interested in adopting one of our Second Stride thoroughbreds, please remember that priority is given to those with an ADOPTION APPLICATION ON FILE.

Thank you for your interest in our program and our adoptable thoroughbreds!

Due to the nature of equine adoptions, no adoption made with Second Stride Inc. has a refundable fee, warranty period, or any obligation to accept previously adopted horses in exchange or trade-in free of charge. We try hard to provide as much information as possible about each horse's physical and mental state prior to adoption, but we advise adopters to vet check a potential horse prior to adopting to be sure it is suitable.  We do agree to help network and place any horse adopted from Second Stride that does not suit the adopter's needs if the adopter does not want to sell privately. We will take previously adopted horses back into our program on a priority basis free of charge, as space permits. We are not liable for any known or unknown defect in an adopted horse.

Please note that we track adopted horses to make sure they do not ever show up in any future race entries.

ALL HORSES ADOPT ON A "FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED" BASIS WITH PRIORITY TO THOSE WITH APPROVED APPLICATIONS ON FILE.

APPROVED APPLICATION IS REQUIRED TO SEE A HORSE.
